Motor Pool Services
The University’s Motor Pool provides a rental fleet of vehicles for use by faculty, staff and students to use for University sanctioned and sponsored trips.
The Motor Pool provides the following vehicles:
- Midsized sedans
- Toyota RAV4s
- Chevrolet Traverses
- Chevrolet Silverado full sized pickup trucks (4X4)
- Chevrolet Suburbans (4X4)
- 15 passenger vans
- Stakebed trucks with liftgate
Our rental vehicles can be driven into Mexico and we provide the International Insurance packet at no additional cost.
We can provide a fleet fuel card to purchase fuel while on extended trips or trips beyond 150 miles from Tucson.
The Motor Pool also provides the following services to the University community:
- Assistance with vehicle purchases for departments, including titling and registration services
- Voyager fleet card support for individual departments possessing Voyager accounts, or those wishing to establish a Voyager fleet account
- Through cooperation with FSO Property Management’s team, the Motor Pool conducts an annual Fleet Data survey to provide the University, the State of Arizona and the Federal government with data on the University’s fleet composition, usage, fuel consumption and costs
The Motor Pool has unleaded and ethanol/E85 fueling stations on site to provide fuel to University owned vehicles. Our unleaded fuel prices are significantly lower than street pricing, averaging about $0.25 less per gallon.
