How To Cat Tran
General CAMPUS TRANSIT Information
- Cat Tran is free to use on campus, including Red and Blue routes. Orange route requires a boarding pass for all stops north of Helen. Please Note: Parking in Park & Ride lots require a permit or paid parking with Passport Parking app.
- All buses are wheelchair-accessible.
- Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from approximately 6:40am - 7:30pm. (Red route hours of operation: 3:55am - 7:30pm) (excluding University holidays and closures). Starting and end times for route service may vary by stop.
- Summer operations have limited bus service.
- Night Cat by Lyft provides late night transportation service. Lyft codes are valid Monday - Friday from 5:30pm to 12:00am for campus rides and trips to select grocery stores.
- Buses will not depart earlier than their scheduled departure time at Timed Stops. All other stop arrivals are estimates based on real time traffic. Plan to arrive at least 5 minutes early to catch the bus
- Cat Tran transit may be full during peak hours 7:00am. - 9:00am and 3:00pm - 5:30pm. Please allow yourself at least 30 minutes of travel time.
- Due to construction and campus activities, bus routes may change; re-routing and delays may occur.

GUIDELINES
Cat Tran wants you to enjoy a safe, comfortable ride. Please do your part to help us create a pleasant experience for all.
- Smoking and/or alcohol is prohibited on all buses.
- No eating on all buses. Drinks must have a lid.
- Animals are prohibited, except for service animals.
- Parking & Transportation Services operators reserve the right to deny service to anyone not observing guidelines. Profanity will not be tolerated.
- Luggage is not permitted on the Cat Tran. Bags are limited in size to what the passenger can hold on their lap. For safety reasons, the aisles must remain clear.
- Please ask your driver for guidance if you have any questions.
Lost and Found
Items found on vehicles are reported to Cat Tran Operations Supervisors immediately. Items that are not claimed are delivered to the University of Arizona Police Department (520) 621-8273 during the next business day.
Mobility-Impaired
- All buses are wheelchair accessible and equipped with a wheelchair lift or ramp. The ramp or lift on the bus may be used to assist customers with limited mobility.
- The driver is required to assist with boarding and exiting as well as with securing passengers (Department of Transportation (DOT) Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) regulations at 49 C.F.R. Section 37.165(f)).
- Scheduled times may vary depending on special needs.
- Bus stops are accessible to the disabled.
- Lift capacity 650 LBS.
