How To Cat Tran
Due to staffing shortages, our services are currently reduced and last minute changes to routes may be experienced. To stay informed of these changes, please use the Transloc app or Cat Tran Tracker on our website to view real time tracking and alerts. We appreciate your understanding.
COVID-19 Safety measures on the Cat Tran
- Hand sanitizer stations on every bus.
- Drivers will regularly disinfect high touch-points which include but are not limited to: handrails, armrests, grab bars, seatbacks, and pull cords.
- Riders are encouraged to observe social distancing at stops.
- Face coverings are no longer required while riding the Cat Tran. Although masks are no longer required, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) continues to recommend wearing a mask while onboard transit vehicles. Please respect those who choose to continue wearing masks.
General CAMPUS TRANSIT Information
- Cat Tran is free to use on campus, including Red and Blue routes. Orange route requires a boarding pass for all stops north of Helen. Please Note: Parking in Park & Ride lots require a permit or paid parking with Passport Parking app.
- All buses are wheelchair-accessible.
- Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 6:35 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. (excluding University holidays and closure). Starting and end times for route service will vary by stop.
- Summer operations have limited bus service.
- Night Cat by Lyft provides late night transportation service. Lyft codes are valid Monday - Friday from 5 p.m. to 12 a.m. for campus rides and trips to select grocery stores.
- Buses will not leave prior to their scheduled departure time at Timed Stops . All other stop times are estimates based on travel time from the timed stops. Plan to arrive at least 5 minutes early to catch the bus.
- Cat Tran transit may be full during peak hours 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Please allow yourself 30 minutes travel time.
- Due to construction and campus activities, bus routes may change; re-routing and delays may occur.
- Real-time bus tracking is available via the Transloc Rider app.
- Service from campus to grocery stores is free. Red route services the east side of campus and travels to Safeway at Broadway and Campbell. Blue route services the west side of campus and travels to Time Market.
GUIDELINES
Cat Tran wants you to enjoy a safe, comfortable ride. Please do your part to help us create a pleasant experience for all.
- No smoking or eating on buses and drinks must have a lid. Alcohol is prohibited.
- Animals are prohibited, except for service animals.
- Vehicles stop at regular and timed bus stops only.
- When boarding, please inform the driver of your destination.
- Parking & Transportation Services operators reserve the right to deny service to anyone not observing guidelines. Profanity will not be tolerated.
- Luggage is not permitted on the Cat Tran. Bags are limited in size to what the passenger can hold on their lap. For safety reasons, the aisles must remain clear.
Lost and Found
Items found on vehicles are taken to the University Police (520) 621-8273 during the next business day.
Mobility-Impaired
- All vehicles are wheelchair-accessible. Disabled individuals in wheelchairs, with walkers, and/or with seriously reduced mobility may use the lift on those vehicles so equipped.
- Driver is required to assist with boarding and exiting as well as with securing passengers.
- Scheduled times may vary depending on special needs.
- When boarding, please inform the driver of your destination.
- Bus stops are accessible to the disabled.
- Lift capacity 650 LBS.
