How To Cat Tran

General CAMPUS TRANSIT Information

  • Cat Tran is free to use on campus, including Red and Blue routes. Orange route requires boarding pass.
    Please Note: Access to Cat Tran transit from off campus Park & Ride stops requires a boarding pass.
  • All shuttles are wheelchair-accessible.
  • Hours of operation during the academic year are Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 7:30 PM (excluding University holidays). Night Cat operates from 5:00 PM to midnight.
  • Cat Tran transit may be full during peak hours (7 - 9 AM). Please allow yourself 30 minutes travel time.
  • Due to construction and campus activities, shuttle routes may change, and re-routing and delays may occur.
  • Real-time shuttle tracking is available via Arizona Mobile app.
  • Service from campus to grocery stores is free. Red route services the east side of campus and goes to Safeway at Broadway and Campbell. Blue route services the west side of campus and goes to Time Market.


Cat Tran wants you to enjoy a safe, comfortable ride. Please do your part to help us create a pleasant experience for all.

  • No smoking or eating on shuttles and drinks must have a lid. Alcohol is prohibited.
  • Animals are prohibited, except for service animals.
  • Vehicles stop at regular and timed shuttle stops only.
  • When boarding, please inform the driver of your destination.
  • Parking & Transportation Services operators reserve the right to deny service to anyone not observing guidelines. Profanity will not be tolerated.

Lost and Found

Items found on vehicles are taken to the University Police (520) 621-8273 during the next business day.


  • All vehicles are wheelchair-accessible. Disabled individuals in wheelchairs, with walkers, and/or with seriously reduced mobility may use the lift on those vehicles so equipped.
  • Driver is required to assist with boarding and exiting as well as with securing passengers.
  • Scheduled times may vary depending on special needs.
  • When boarding, please inform the driver of your destination.
  • Shuttle stops are accessible to the disabled.
  • Lift capacity 650 LBS.
