Parking Permits

Purchase Permit   PERMIT Parking MAP

Parking and Transportation Services at the University of Arizona offer several permit options designed to meet students, employees and DCC's diverse parking needs. Below you will find important dates, permit types and rates, instructions on cancellations, waitlists, and exchanges.

Parking & Transportation Services reserves the right to reserve parking lots and garages, either partially or entirely, for special events, construction, or maintenance purposes. Permit holders of the assigned garage/lot will receive notifications via their Arizona email addresses regarding relocation parking areas during these times.

The responsibility of finding a legal parking space rests with the vehicle operator. A parking permit does not guarantee a parking space. However, it does grant the privilege to park in one space in the designated area when parking is available. Inability to find a space does not constitute a license to violate these regulations. If a permit holder cannot find a parking space, they should contact Parking & Transportation Services dispatch office at (520) 621-1108 for guidance.

Permit Valid Dates

Permit validity periods vary based on the type of permit. Permits costs and refunds are prorated bi-weekly from their effective start date. Please review the validity dates specific to your permit.

Academic Year Permits

Valid August, or permit purchase date, to May. See Parking Portal for current permit dates.

The University of Arizona offers various parking permit options to accommodate employees with flexible work schedules. Flexible permits are valid for a full academic year (August–August) and are available to employees only; graduate students and student workers are not eligible.

They may be used as often as needed within the total usage limit, after which the permit becomes invalid. Usage can be tracked via the Parking Portal. Flexible permits are not reloadable but are refundable based on the number of unused entries remaining.

Payment can be made through payroll deduction, though auto-renewal is not available. These permits cannot be combined with annual or academic permits and are not valid for special event parking. Current permit holders who wish to switch to a flexible option should email transportation@arizona.edu
