Emergency Ride Home Program

Emergency Ride Home Program

Parking & Transportation Services offers a free Emergency Ride Home Program for University of Arizona employees and students who regularly use alternative transportation (e.g., biking, walking, carpooling, or transit). This program ensures that you can still get home safely if an unexpected emergency arises.

What Qualifies as an Emergency?

An emergency is defined as a situation beyond your control that leaves you without your usual transportation. Examples include:

  • Feeling too ill to bike or walk home
  • Needing to pick up a sick child from school
  • A carpool partner leaving early or staying late due to illness or overtime
  • Missing the last bus due to an unexpected work or class obligation

Note: This service does not provide transportation to medical facilities. If medical attention is needed, call 911.
