Disability Cart Service (DCS)
The Disability Cart Service is a free, door-to-door transportation service provided to University of Arizona students, faculty, staff, and participants in university programs who have a temporary or permanent impairment that limits their mobility on campus.
Hours of Operation:
Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. (excluding University holidays)

Extended/Permanent Service
Affiliation with the Disability Resource Center (DRC) is required.
Complete and submit the Disability Cart Service Approval Form (PDF).
Once approved, Parking & Transportation Services will send a welcome email with instructions for using the service.
Scheduling a Ride: TripShot App
To schedule rides, users must:
- Download the TripShot app on their mobile device.
- Create an account and be added to the Approved Users Group.
- Follow the Sign-Up Tutorial and Scheduling Tutorial for setup and ride booking instructions.
Features include:
- Future ride scheduling and live tracking of traffic on campus.
- Editing or canceling rides.
- Live tracking of drivers and ETAs.
Note: TripShot does not currently support recurring ride scheduling. For recurring ride assistance, call (520) 621-1108.
Helpful Tips for Riders
- Schedule at least 30 minutes in advance.
- Be on time: Drivers wait up to 2 minutes before proceeding to the next pickup.
- Plan ahead: If your class starts at 10:00 a.m., schedule pickup for 9:45 a.m.
- Riders are responsible for submitting required forms to PTS.
- Riders affiliated with Disability Resource Center are required to re-apply for Disability Cart Service at the beginning of every academic year to continue using the service.
- Riders approved through Campus Health will be required to contact Campus Health to re-apply for the service once their service expiration date has expired.
- Contact the office with any accessibility issues using the app.
Rules and Regulations
All riders must treat drivers, office staff, and fellow passengers with respect. Inappropriate behavior may result in suspension of service.
Seatbelt use is required unless a disability prevents it. A medical written notice from one of our approval partners (Campus Health or Disability Resources Center) is required in order for the rider to not wear a seatbelt while using the service.
- Rides must be scheduled through TripShot using the “Depart At” feature.
- All same-day ride requests must be submitted 30 minutes in advance when a restriction is NOT in place.
- Requests are prioritized based on submission time.
- Drivers will wait 2 minutes at the scheduled pick-up location. If you miss your ride, you will need to request a new one and wait 30-minutes or for the next available driver.
- Missed pickups require rescheduling
- Persistent lateness may result in suspension
- A “No Show” occurs when a rider fails to board during the scheduled time
- Four (4) no-shows in an academic year may result in cancellation of service
- Cancellations must be made at least 30 minutes in advance via TripShot or by calling (520) 626-2278.
- In cases of illness or emergency, contact the office as soon as possible.
