The Carpool Parking Program encourages University of Arizona students and employees to share transportation costs and reduce campus traffic. Carpools of three or more eligible commuters can receive shared parking privileges and additional benefits.

 

Program Benefits

Shared Carpool Permit
Carpool groups receive one shared permit for a designated parking lot or garage based on availability.
*Not valid at 2nd Street Garage.

Parking Validations Details
Each member receives five full-day garage validations for emergencies or scheduling conflicts.

How to Sign Up

  1. Gather Your Group: All members must be present when purchasing the permit in person.

  2. Complete Application: Fill out the Carpool Permit Application and bring it with you.

  3. Visit Office In-person: 1117 E. Sixth Street (By Sixth Street Garage) See office hours.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Each carpool member must provide proof of a different local address (with name and address clearly visible)
  • Notify PTS within 10 business days of any changes in carpool membership
  • If the carpool dissolves:
    • The carpool permit must be returned
    • Members may purchase a regular parking permit at a prorated rate, based on availability
