Electric Vehicle Charging
As part of the University of Arizona’s commitment to sustainability, Parking & Transportation Services offers 27 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across campus. EVs help reduce emissions, improve air quality, and support a healthier, more sustainable campus community.
Charging stations are available at four parking garages and three parking lots, primarily on the north side of campus. To view charging locations, please visit our interactive parking map.
Important: Vehicles must be actively charging while parked in designated EV spaces to avoid citation. After charging, relocate your vehicle to avoid a citation.
Unauthorized Use of an Electrical Outlet: Electric vehicle charging is only allowed in designated U of A campus charging spaces and requires payment. Use of a university electrical outlet in a parking garage or lot to charge an electric vehicle is prohibited. View Rules and Regulations for more information.
Charging Network: ChargePoint
The University has partnered with ChargePoint, North America’s largest EV charging network. Drivers can access stations by:
- Downloading the ChargePoint app (available on the App Store and Google Play).
- Using a ChargePoint account.
- Tracking charging sessions, receiving notifications, and locating any of the 70,000+ ChargePoint stations nationwide.
For additional help review the ChargePoint’s Driver Frequently Asked Question, How to Use the ChargePoint App video and How to Charge an EV with ChargePoint video.
