Don't have a parking permit? You're a new customer! You cancelled your permit! At Parking ampersanamp;ampersannbsp;Transportation Services (PTS) our mission is to support sustainable travel choices. Our programs and services provide a variety of options to get to and around campus. We offer an assortment ofampersannbsp;parking permit types that are sold annually. Below we have highlighted key information and important dates for our permit registration process. Whether you're a freshman, transfer student or a new employee, we do our best to ensure there's parking for you! You'll find as you get more familiar with the campus, the distance from where you park to where you need to go, isn't really so far!
Important Note:ampersannbsp; New customers can purchase available permits starting July by logging in to theirampersannbsp;Parking Account Portal.
- 2021-2022 permits are valid from 8/16/2021 through 8/12/2022. Prices are subject to change, click here for specific prices and to review parking program changes.
- To purchase a permit, you will need your NetID to log into your Parking Account Portal. Don't create a new account, it may delay your access to the Parking Account Portal. What to do before july OPEN SALES PERIOD
Here are our top 3ampersannbsp;helpful tips to prepare for open sales.
- Have a shortlist of 3 locations so when it's time to purchase, if you don't see your first choice, you're ready with a second and third choice to ensure you have a permit before the start of school
- Residence Hall? We advise not to wait for your residence hall assignment before registering for aampersannbsp;permit since parking on campus is limited. It is recommended that you do not bring a vehicle to campus unless you have purchased a parking permit.
- Sign on to UAccess to see if your mailing address is accurate. If not, update your address.ampersannbsp;If it doesn't reflect in 2 business days, you can continue through purchasing a permit all the way to the receipt page. Just email us at PTS-ParkingInformation@email.arizona.edu to notify the address mismatch and we'll manually update it on our end.
- Check our website and social media for updates! Sometimes program changes occur and parking lot availability will change.
PERMIT REGISTRATION TIMELINE ampersanamp; IMPORTANT DATES
Our permit registration period beginsampersannbsp;with permit renewals starting in June, followed by new permit sales in July. Permits are sold on a first-come, first-served basis and subject to availability.
It is recommended that new customers purchase a permit from the available selections.ampersannbsp;
- May-June: Renewal period for current permit holders.
- July: New customers can purchase available permits from the Parking Account Portal.
- August:ampersannbsp;Permits and RFID units mailed out prior to Aug 16 if applicable.
- October: If you determine you need a different location, you can place yourself on a waitlist. To read more about waitlist see section "Permit Waitlists."
- April: 4/23/22 is the last day to purchase an Annual Permit to include summer months for free.
- April: Last business day in April is the deadline to receive a prorated refund.
PAYMENT PROCESS
Purchasing a permit is as easy as looking at the list of what's available! To purchase your assigned permit, log in to your Parking Account Portal. Click the "Get Permits" button to start the payment process.ampersannbsp; See complete Parking Account Portal Manual above for instructions under bullet 2.
- Students may purchase parking permits online via credit card or through their Bursarampersannbsp;account.
- UA benefits-eligible employees may select payroll deduction as a payment option or pay in full via credit card.

FREE ampersanamp; LOW-COST OPTIONS
We encourage environmentally sound transportation choices by offering:
- 50% subsidized transit passes
- 50% subsidized Tugo Bikeshare from City of Tucson
- Shared permits for our carpool program users
- Cat Wheels UAZ free bike-sharing program
- Park ampersanamp; Ride permits are for individuals living off-campus. Each lot is conveniently located near bikeampersannbsp;routes, Sun Tran, and Cat Tran transit stops.

PERMIT WAITLISTS
Placing yourself on a waitlist holds your place in line until a permit becomes available in your preferred location. Waitlists are open from October through January on a space-available basis. If you don't see a waitlistampersannbsp;for a specific location, it means the parking location is at capacity.ampersannbsp;Waitlist requestsampersannbsp;do not guarantee a permit will be awarded for a permit location.
