IF YOU DON'T READ PAST THIS, READ THESE THREE THINGS

  2. First priority on waitlist: if you want to change your location, add yourself to a waitlist and you will be notified by email with further instructions.
  3. If you want to cancel your permit, don't do anything!

Where do I go to renew?

To renew your parking permit, go to the Parking Account Portal. If you want a new location, add yourself to a waitlist and wait for a follow-up email with further instructions!

  1. Log in with your NetID
  2. Go to Get Permits
  3. Select your parking location
  4. Proceed through the purchase process and select method of payment. To continue payroll deduction, be sure to select Payroll Deduction 18.

What if I want a different location?

If you would like to switch your parking permit location, add yourself to a waitlist and await further instructions. If you don't receive an reassignment email before the deadline date, we recommend purchasing your permit to secure a spot. We hold waitlists through February so you may be able to switch locations at a later date if a space becomes available.

Is a parking permit for me?

We understand that circumstances for many have changed, whether its individuals that can continue to work from home, or only having to work on campus for a few days at a time. If you wish to cancel your renewal, you don't have to do anything. Our system will clear any unpurchased permits, so it becomes available for the next group.

We've updated our Program Changes web page so you have a resource for all the different changes in effect for 2021-2022. Financial Impact

If you're on the fence if you should renew, take this into consideration about financial impact. For reference, parking in a garage for more than 4 hours, $8/day. The rates are even lower if you park in a surface lot.

If you think you'll be on campus more than 16 hours a week, then purchasing an annual permit is most cost effective. If you want to learn more about low-cost parking or car-free options, check out this page.

Cost to provide parking

On average, a parking space costs $26,673, so it takes approximately 36 years to pay it off and break even at the rate of $726/year. Not included in these figures is the $1550/space cost to operate and maintain the facility.
