UA Parking ampersanamp; Transportation Services will enforce parking restrictions using a Permit by Plate system in conjunction with physical permits. This new program will allow a customer's license plate to function as part of the physical permit issued by PTS.
PTS Enforcement will use license plate recognition technology to scan and verify vehicles are connected to a valid UA permit. Additionally, it will identify vehicles in violation of overtime parking, scofflaw, and permit infractions. This happens instantaneously, allowing the enforcement officers to cover the entire campus multiple times per day.
Permit by Plate program will require vehicles to park so that plates are visible from the driving lane. Once a plate is scanned and read by the software, the information is sent to the secured parking database for validation and released at the end of the day. Only violations will be recorded and remain on file with PTS.
To park legally on campus, a valid permit must be displayed and the vehicle plate number must be visible from the driving lane. Vehicles may be subject to citation and tow if not displaying a permit, license plate is not visible, or if a vehicle is not linked to a valid UA permit.
If you drive an alternate vehicle to campus, simply log in to your Parking Account Portal and register the additional license plate. You may have up to five license plates registered to your account. Permit by Plate allows PTS to detect if multiple vehicles registered to a permit are parked on campus at the same time. If more than one vehicle registered to a permit is parked on campus at one time, the second one encountered will be issued a ticket.
All vehicle license plates must be visible from the driving lane.
Customers can use their Parking Account Portal to register up to five vehicles per permit.
Only one of the vehicles registered to your account may park on campus at any given time.
