Speedway Lane Restrictions March 13 - July:At this time, the Tucson Department of Transportation has determined that work on the Warren Avenue Underpass, which runs beneath Speedway, can move forward with speed and lane width reductions rather than the originally planned east and westbound lane restrictions.Beginning at 6 a.m. on Thursday, March 14, 2013 the speed limit along Speedway Boulevard, between Cherry and Campbell Avenues, will be reduced to 30 mph and lane widths will be reduced from 12 feet to 11 feet in the area. The temporary lane width and speed limit reductions will be in place while work is completed on the Warren Avenue underpass.

Warren Ave. Underpass: The Warren Ave. Underpass is currently under construction to adapt it for use by the Modern Streetcar.The underpass is scheduled to remain closed and under construction until July.

Second Street from Cherry to Warren: The installation of the track and utilities, primarily TEP lines continues to be delayed and is now scheduled to be open in late May.
